This just plain pisses me off!
No, no one wants to indoctrinate kids in any way in our society...
I stopped letting Lucy watch this kids show on PBS several months ago for 2 reasons. (1) If you pay attention, there is definitely an agenda undercurrent being pumped out to kids. (2) There were literally 5-6 episodes TOTAL, running over and over again. What good is that?
It's very cheaply produced, and the computer-generated animation which is mediocre at best, often shows glitches and visual issues that would seem to be a problem with the computer(s) being used to show these digital files. But hey, now they suddenly have the cash for a new episode, and it's "Getting A Shot: You Can Do It" (it ran on PBS Kids Monday the 26th)! Well whatchooknowboutdat??
PBS has forced all of it's affiliates to stop showing Mr. Rogers (once a week on Saturday is all that is now allowed) because [insert budgeting excuse blah-blah here]. BUT, they've got plenty of money to pump out propaganda programs that promote the political agendas of our current administration at young children! Wise up people, the people in power know the way to get what they want is to bypass adults and pour the crap into kids heads.
As soon as we get rid of enough of the uber-lib nitwits in Congress, we need to as a country demand that PBS stop being funded at all by our tax dollars.
